"The 'Racing Bad Luck Fairy' must be following us" said a disappointed Danny after breaking the 'breaks and break calipers' during the first practice at Concord on Saturday. "We are not sure why they broke, but to fix it we needed parts we didn't have at the track. I didn't really get to go full speed, but the Shred 360 Monte Carlo felt good. I guess we'll try again next week. "

" It always seems to rain on race days!" said a frustrated Danny. "We drove all the way up to Concord and just as we got there they called the race. Since it was lightening and thundering I guess it was a good call!! I am real disappointed we did not get to race though."
Maybe there will be good weather for the next race day!

Danny and the DER team headed for Dillon Motor Speedway as Concord had another week off. A rush job on last years car resulted in a re-skinned Monte Carlo that really looked good and met the Dillon rules. Danny said " Ron Barfield has done a great job on his new track. Everything is manicured and everyone is nice......the officials actually seem glad to have you there."
Rain plagued the effort but Barfield and company made an awesome effort to dry the track resulting in two practice sessions. Danny said " the grip on the new track was great and my times were immediatly competative. I know I will get even better with some more time on the track." But all it did was rain and the races were called off! The team looks forward to returning to Dillon the next open date.

Danny and the DER team have made ready the late model from last year to race at the new Dillon Speedway in Dillon, South Carolina this Saturday night. "We re-worked the wiring and put a new body on the car, but basically it’s the same car I raced last season at Florence." said Danny. " since Concord does not run the late models again until next week we thought we would try out Ron Barfield’s new track at Dillon."
Qualifying is at 6 pm and the racing begins at 7:30 pm - hope to see you there!
